The Arkansas Flute Society is a non-profit organization that seeks to enrich the lives of flutists in Arkansas!

Mission: 

– Increase flute performance and educational opportunities for student, amateur, and professional flutists within the state of Arkansas.

– Foster community and cooperation between university flute studios in recognition of the joy of music’s fundamentally collaborative nature. 

– Serve flutists in financially, geographically, and/or artistically disadvantaged communities by providing educational and artistic resources.

– Amplify the voices of underrepresented composers in Society programming so that all participants can see themselves reflected in the local classical music community.

Mid-South Flute Society

The Mid-South Flute Society serves members from Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, east Texas, southern Illinois, and southern Kentucky.

There are competitions and masterclass opportunities available. The annual festival is held in March and alternates between Memphis and other mid-South locations every other year.
