All-Region Clinic on Nov. 5

Join Dr. Stephanie Hoeckley and the A-State Music faculty for a morning clinic for Arkansas high school (10-12th grade) woodwind, brass, and percussion students auditioning for All-Region Band.

Students will receive feedback, tips, and materials to improve your audition and practice. The day will end with a FREE lunch!

Schedule: 10:00 AM – Welcome and assembly 10:30 AM – Group workshops 12:00 PM – FREE Lunch

Our flute workshop will include tips for improving your sound and vibrato, how teach your fingers to really fly, new ways to practice scales/thirds so they’re fun, and audition mindset tips so you can keep your cool during your audition!

Dr. Stephanie Hoeckley

Stephanie Hoeckley is an award-winning flutist and educator in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She is the Assistant Professor of Flute at Arkansas State University, a regular clinician and performer at music conferences across the US, and often creates innovative music resources like her Practice Hack Stack card game. Stephanie earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Arizona State University. She also holds a MM in Music Performance from ASU and a BM in Music Performance from the University of Central Florida. As a passionate and engaging music educator, she loves to inspire powerful performance skills through creativity to help make music fun for all ages. She loves anything that is brightly colored and believes in living life like an adventure by taking creative risks that make people smile.
