About Dr. Stephanie Hoeckley
Stephanie Hoeckley is an award-winning flutist and educator in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She is the Assistant Professor of Flute at Arkansas State University, a regular clinician and performer at music conferences across the US, and often creates innovative music resources like her Practice Hack Stack card game. Stephanie earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Arizona State University. She also holds a MM in Music Performance from ASU and a BM in Music Performance from the University of Central Florida. As a passionate and engaging music educator, she loves to inspire powerful performance skills through creativity to help make music fun for all ages. She loves anything that is brightly colored and believes in living life like an adventure by taking creative risks that make people smile.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who performed in the A huge THANK YOU to everyone who performed in the Community Flute Choir today! 🎄🎅🏼🙌 It was a blast to share our holiday program, eat cookies, and make festive winter hats in the Flute Club’s Crafts & Cookies event afterward! Thank you to the Jonesboro Public Library for hosting us! We loved the acoustics and all of the space for our flutes, friends, and family. @ccjpl 📣 Flutists, we’re considering a community flute choir concert in April or May. Would you like to play? Should we meet more often than once per year? Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and Happy Holidays! ✨

Flutists of ALL ages with 1 or more years of playing experience are invited to join! The music is an intermediate level, and simplified parts are available for beginners or anyone who wants them. In our All-Region clinic today, we hit all the common traps to avoid in the etudes, lightning fast warm-ups, practice strategies for finger technique and counting, the many benefits of scales (especially slurred scales), and some resources like the rhythm tree and circle of fifths!
